Theodore of Mopsuestia († 428) is popular as a biblical scholar of the Antiochian school that avoids allegorical method. At the same time he developed a Christology stressing the role of Christ’s human nature for salvation. The book presents the impact of both Theodore’s exegesis and theology on his concept of grace, in all his conserved writings.
