In this book the fundamental questions of Jesus´ Story are reconsidered, particularly in focussing on his life. Thus instead of the saving meaning of the Cross, the earthly existence of Jesus of Nazareth in its liberating aspect is underlined by as the vital message for the post-modern Christianity. Yet it by no means aims at the revitalizing of the liberal conception of Christian Faith. In the light of Jesus´ terrestrial story demanding problems of new conceptualising of the classical dogmatic tradition are being exposed. This has been made in a number of reflective studies dealing with the concepts of Czech and European theologians of the Twentieth Century. An attempt of non-metaphysical interpretation of the Christian message is the core of the book. Keywords: The Gospel, Cross, Death and Life of Jesus, Salvation, Non metaphysical interpretation, Non-objective approach, Truth, Protestant theology of the XX. Century.
